His son, Tsai Weicheng, who serves as the group's executive director and president, has a total compensation of SGD 2,266,588. According to the annual report released by Ho Bee Land on Tuesday (April 7), the total compensation for the father and son increased by 18.7% and 14.8% year-on-year, respectively. However, this amount is still significantly lower compared to the peak compensation of Tsai Tianbao, which ranged from SGD 9.25 million to SGD 9.5 million in 2016. He was once the highest-paid leader among listed companies that had released their annual reports at that time. At 77 years old, Tsai Tianbao announced his succession plan in 2018 and promoted his 50-year-old son, Tsai Weicheng, to the position of vice president of the group.
