# A-share closing review: SSE Index rose by 0.26%, Shenzhen Index rose by 0.36%, with concepts such as silicone, glyphosate, and PTA strengthening

On April 7th, the three major A-share indices collectively closed higher. By the end of the trading session, the SSE Index rose by 0.26%, the Shenzhen Index rose by 0.36%, and the ChiNext rose by 0.36%; the North Exchange 50 fell by 0.34%. The total trading volume of the Shanghai and Shenzhen markets was approximately CNY 1,614.395 billion, a decrease of about CNY 42.113 billion compared to the previous trading day. A total of 3,977 stocks rose, while 1,426 stocks fell, with 101 hitting the daily limit up and 18 hitting the daily limit down.

In terms of sectors, industries such as silicone, glyphosate, PTA, basic chemicals, petroleum and petrochemicals, and agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, and fishery saw significant gains; while sectors such as two-wheeled vehicles, China Electronics Technology Group, heavy trucks, banks, precious metals, and IT services experienced notable declines
