Chicago Fed President Goolsbee (2027 FOMC voter): Oil prices could drive up prices in a stagflationary manner. Hiring is low, firing is low; these are all signs of uncertainty. I am cautious about the economic outlook and feel nervous. The longer high inflation persists, the more entrenched it will become in the economy.
