Previously, Asia-Pacific markets had generally moved higher, with Japanese and Korean stock markets rallying substantially. Due to the easing of geopolitical tensions, international oil prices plummeted, leading to a wave of daily limit drops for A-share oil and gas stocks, while coal stocks also experienced a collective adjustment.
