# Upstream chemical product prices are expected to enter a cyclical upward phase, and the chemical ETF Harvest focuses on the new round of prosperity cycle against the backdrop of "anti-involution" in the industry

On April 8, 2026, during trading, sectors such as chemical raw materials and chemical products showed active performance. As of 13:18, the Harvest CSI Chemicals Sub-industry Index surged by 1.62%. Component stocks such as Lanxiao Technology rose by 7.04%, Hongda Co., Ltd. increased by 6.67%, Jinhua Technology went up by 5.78%, and stocks like Tongkun Co., Ltd. and Xinzhoubang also followed suit.

Recently, due to the impact of the Middle East conflict, the Jubail Industrial City in Saudi Arabia has suffered large-scale attacks, with an annual output of approximately 60 million tons of petrochemical products, accounting for 6%-8% of global total output. Guojin Securities pointed out that this round of attacks has shifted from disrupting transportation channels to the substantial destruction of long-cycle petrochemical production facilities, significantly strengthening the logic of supply-side instability. The main theme of the chemical supply chain is shifting from "demand concerns" to "lengthening supply recovery cycles," with extended impacts such as inventory fluctuations, facility restarts, and stabilization of the industrial chain continuing to exceed expectations.

Changcheng Securities noted that from an overall trend perspective, since the third quarter of 2025, the cumulative rise and fall of the basic chemical industry has rapidly rebounded, entering a gradual recovery cycle. In terms of fixed asset investment, the fixed asset investment in the chemical industry has gradually slowed down, with the cumulative year-on-year data of fixed asset investment in various sub-industries having retreated from the early 2025 peak. Coupled with the gradual implementation of consumer stimulus policies, upstream chemical product prices are expected to enter an upward cycle, and the PPI index is likely to recover.

Data shows that as of March 31, 2026, the top ten weighted stocks in the Harvest CSI Chemicals Sub-industry Index (000813) are Wanhua Chemical, Yanhua Co., Ltd., Tianci Materials, Baofeng Energy, Cangge Mining, Hualu Hengsheng, Weixing Chemical, Juhua Co., Ltd., Hengli Petrochemical, and Yuntianhua, with the top ten weighted stocks accounting for a total of 46.51%.

The chemical ETF Harvest (159129) closely tracks the Harvest CSI Chemicals Sub-industry Index, focusing on the new round of prosperity cycle against the backdrop of "anti-involution" in the industry.

Offshore investors can also pay attention to investment opportunities in the chemical sector through the chemical ETF connection fund (013527)
