As of the time of writing, FIT HON TENG (06088) rose by 16.89% to HKD 7.9; VSTECS (00856) rose by 10.73% to HKD 9.6; Lens (06613) rose by 10.26% to HKD 20.74; SUNNY OPTICAL (02382) rose by 5.43% to HKD 63.15.

On the news front, earlier reports indicated that Apple's foldable iPhone encountered setbacks during the engineering testing phase, potentially delaying mass production and shipment by several months. However, sources revealed that the foldable screen iPhone is still expected to be released in September, refuting previous media reports about significant obstacles in the phone's production. Sources stated that Apple plans to launch this foldable model alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max in September.

A recent report from Counterpoint Research shows that global shipments of foldable smartphones are expected to grow by 20% in 2026, supported by factors such as Apple's anticipated entry, the ongoing premiumization of the smartphone market, and increased OEM participation.
