# KNOWLEDGE ATLAS Raises Prices by Another 10% and Releases GLM-5.1, Stock Surges!

China's AI monetization wave continues to accelerate, with KNOWLEDGE ATLAS becoming the latest leading player to raise its pricing upon the release of new products.

KNOWLEDGE ATLAS officially released its new generation open-source model GLM-5.1 this week. Concurrently, the model aggregation platform OpenRouter shows that KNOWLEDGE ATLAS GLM has increased prices by another 10%. **Its cloud call prices have risen by 8% to 17% compared to the old GLM-5 Turbo**, marking at least the second price hike for the company since 2026.

The news boosted market sentiment, with KNOWLEDGE ATLAS's stock price once surging nearly 19% during trading hours, currently up 15.92%.

Following this price increase, the Token price for GLM-5.1 in coding scenarios is approaching the level of Anthropic's Claude Sonnet 4.6, indicating that KNOWLEDGE ATLAS is gradually aligning its product pricing with that of top international competitors. CEO Zhang Peng stated on an earnings call that the company's cloud model business is expected to achieve "指数级增长" (exponential growth).

## Second Price Hike Continues Monetization Offensive

This is not the first time KNOWLEDGE ATLAS has raised prices this year. On February 12th, KNOWLEDGE ATLAS implemented a structural price adjustment for its GLM Coding Plan package, with overall increases starting from 30%.

At the time, KNOWLEDGE ATLAS explicitly stated in its price adjustment letter that the price increase was due to "continuous strong growth in market demand, rapid increase in user base and call volume," and that the company was simultaneously increasing investment in computing power and model optimization to ensure service stability under high load. The plan removed the initial purchase discount but retained quarterly and annual subscription discounts. Prices for existing subscribers remained unchanged, and the new prices took effect on the day of release.

**Approximately two months later, KNOWLEDGE ATLAS has acted again. Although the extent of this price adjustment is lower than the February increase for the Coding package, it covers a wider scope, involving cloud input Tokens and various other billing dimensions.**

GLM-5.1 is positioned as a new generation open-source model, featuring significant upgrades in programming capabilities and long-cycle task processing. According to KNOWLEDGE ATLAS's official statement, the model can operate autonomously for eight consecutive hours, with programming performance close to Anthropic's Claude Opus 4.6.

## Industry Follows Suit, Profitability Pressure Drives Pricing Restructuring

KNOWLEDGE ATLAS's move is not an isolated incident. Leading Chinese AI companies such as Alibaba and Tencent have also recently raised their service fees, driven by two factors: the rapid surge in demand for OpenAI-like intelligent agent services and pressure from investors for companies to accelerate profit realization.

KNOWLEDGE ATLAS disclosed last month that its full-year 2025 loss widened to 4.7 billion RMB (approximately 688 million USD). However, its stock price still surged by up to 35% at the time, with the market focusing on its monetization prospects rather than current losses. The release of GLM-5.1 coupled with another price hike has further strengthened investor confidence in KNOWLEDGE ATLAS's commercialization path, driving a continued strong performance in its stock price.
