At the same time, the deployment scale of accelerators within data centers is also expected to expand by approximately 25 times. Multiplying these two factors, the growth in total memory demand will reach 625-fold (25×25).
However, the response speed of the supply side lags far behind the demand side. Michael Dell pointed out that memory manufacturers cut capital expenditures in 2023 due to the industry's downturn cycle, and underinvestment directly led to the current supply shortage.
