# It is reported that two Chinese oil tankers are approaching the Strait of Hormuz, possibly the first vessels to pass through after the ceasefire

Foreign media reports that two fully loaded Chinese oil tankers are sailing in the Persian Gulf towards the Strait of Hormuz, potentially becoming the first vessels to pass through since the US-Iran ceasefire agreement took effect.

Tracking data shows that the "Cospearl Lake," belonging to COSCO Shipping, and another vessel owned by a smaller company, the "He Rong Hai," are heading east at nearly maximum speed this morning (the 9th). The tracking systems of both ships indicate they are Chinese-owned, which is typically a precautionary measure taken for safety reasons before passing through with Iranian approval.

However, there is still uncertainty about whether these two oil tankers can successfully pass through the Strait of Hormuz, as several vessels have turned back at the last moment in the past 24 hours, and traffic flow in the area has not significantly rebounded
