# Market concerns over the ceasefire situation in the Middle East have led international oil prices to rebound close to 100 dollars

(Agence France-Presse New York, 9th) Investors are concerned about whether the ceasefire in the Middle East can be maintained, and the Strait of Hormuz in southern Iran remains largely blocked, causing international oil prices to rise today, approaching the $100 per barrel mark.

As of around 6:20 AM Eastern Time, the price of West Texas Intermediate crude oil for May delivery on the New York Mercantile Exchange rose by $4.66 or 4.94%, to $99.07 per barrel.

The price of Brent crude oil for June delivery in London increased by $3.48 or 3.67%, to $98.25 per barrel
