# Tesla's Domestic New Car Sales Up 47% Month-on-Month in March; Shanghai Gigafactory Deliveries Up 8.7% Year-on-Year

According to the latest statistics from the China Passenger Car Association, Tesla's domestic new car sales in March 2026 exceeded 56,000 units, a 47% month-on-month increase. The Tesla Model Y became the domestic passenger vehicle sales champion. Tesla's Shanghai Gigafactory delivered over 85,600 electric vehicles in March, an 8.7% year-on-year increase; cumulative deliveries for the first quarter reached 213,000 units, achieving a 23.5% growth compared to the same period in 2025.
