# Anthropic releases cybersecurity recommendations, committing to continuously update guidelines as projects progress

Anthropic published a post on its Claude blog, offering a series of specific recommendations for cybersecurity defense practices in the era of artificial intelligence, and stated that it will continue to update relevant guidelines as the Project Glasswing partnership progresses.

On April 10, the company pointed out in the article that models with capabilities equivalent to Claude Mythos "will soon be widely accessible," emphasizing the urgency of accelerating defensive actions at this stage. Anthropic stated that it will collaborate with Project Glasswing partners to refine and iterate this security guideline framework.

## Seven Core Security Recommendations

Anthropic specifically listed seven cybersecurity recommendations in the blog for industry reference:

-   Shorten the patch gap: Accelerate the pace of vulnerability fixes and compress the time window for known vulnerabilities to be exploited;
-   Prepare for handling high-volume vulnerability reports: With the enhancement of AI-assisted vulnerability scanning capabilities, a significant increase in the number of vulnerability reports is expected;
-   Discover vulnerabilities before release: Move the security testing phase forward to the software development stage;
-   Inspect existing code for vulnerabilities: Conduct proactive security reviews on running codebases;
-   Design systems with the assumption of being attacked: Predefine a security philosophy of "assumed compromised" at the architectural level;
-   Reduce the attack surface and establish a checklist: Streamline and narrow down the systems and interfaces exposed to the outside;
-   Shorten incident response time: Improve the efficiency of detecting and handling security incidents.

## Guidelines Will Be Dynamically Updated with Project Progress

Anthropic clearly stated that the above security recommendations are not set in stone.

As the company continues its cybersecurity research with Project Glasswing partners—including Amazon Web Services, Apple, Cisco, CrowdStrike, Google, JP Morgan, the Linux Foundation, Microsoft, NVIDIA, and Palo Alto Networks—the relevant guidelines will be updated in a timely manner.

The company also promised to publicly disclose the phased results of the project within 90 days, covering fixed vulnerabilities and publicly available improvement measures, so that the entire industry can benefit.
