# Multiple express airlines have raised prices, this time due to fuel surcharges

IT Home reported on April 11 that due to regional tensions and fluctuations in oil prices, not only are aviation fuel surcharges increasing, but express delivery fees are also set to rise.

Recently, **SF Holding, UPS, DHL, FedEx, and several other international express logistics companies have adjusted their fuel surcharge standards**, with some companies increasing their rates. Additionally, influenced by the surge in international oil prices and adjustments in industry policies, many domestic express companies have recently collectively increased or added fuel surcharges.

According to IT Home's report earlier this month, several airlines, including Air China, Xiamen Airlines, and China United Airlines, have successively issued announcements stating that starting from April 5, 2026 (inclusive), they will raise the fuel surcharge standards for passenger transport on domestic routes.

After this adjustment, for segments of 800 kilometers (inclusive) or less, each passenger will be charged 60 yuan, and for segments over 800 kilometers, each passenger will be charged 120 yuan. Currently, the fuel surcharge standards are 10 yuan for segments under 800 kilometers and 20 yuan for segments over 800 kilometers, meaning that after April 5, the fuel surcharges will increase by 50 yuan and 100 yuan respectively, a rise of up to 5 times.

Affected by the situation in the Middle East, international oil prices have recently fluctuated and risen sharply, significantly increasing the procurement costs of aviation kerosene. Many airlines have stated that fuel prices have risen several times compared to the beginning of the year. According to the current fuel surcharge collection mechanism, when the comprehensive procurement cost of domestic aviation kerosene exceeds 5,000 yuan per ton, airlines can initiate the collection of fuel surcharges, with 80% of the excess over the benchmark portion borne by passengers
