Recently, Daiwa Securities (China) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Daiwa Securities")'s controlling shareholder, Daiwa Securities Group Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "Daiwa Group"), invested approximately 706 million yuan to acquire a total of 49% equity from two other shareholders of Daiwa Securities that were publicly listed for transfer. If the subsequent procedures of the above transaction are completed smoothly, Daiwa Securities will change from a Sino-foreign joint venture brokerage to a wholly foreign-owned brokerage, expanding the number of wholly foreign-owned brokerages in China to 7.
