On the news front, China's chip exports are projected to reach 202.4 billion USD in 2025, including 92.8 billion USD for memory chips. AI trade is expected to drive an additional export of 43.5 billion USD for memory chips, enhancing the overall export growth rate by 1.2 percentage points. The shift in production capacity of international giants towards HBM has led to a shortage of ordinary memory, with domestic manufacturers like Yangtze Memory Technologies and Changxin Memory rapidly filling the gap, resulting in a year-on-year surge of 72.6% in chip exports in the first two months of 2026.

Industry insiders expect that if memory chips maintain a growth rate of around 35% in 2026, it will further drive export growth by 0.9%. AI trade is extending from the chip sector to energy infrastructure, becoming a key new engine for China's exports to exceed expectations and supporting high-quality development in foreign trade.

CITIC Securities pointed out that innovations in AI terminals and computing power construction are driving the global semiconductor industry into a high prosperity cycle. Domestic STAR chips are facing a historic opportunity for "simultaneous increase in volume and price" and accelerated domestic substitution, particularly optimistic about the explosive demand for memory chips, semiconductor equipment materials, and domestic large computing power chips.
