On Monday (April 13), New Xiang Group announced in a statement that it would provide cargo ground handling services for Jazeera Airways' Airbus A320neo aircraft departing from Dammam at its 60,000 square meter cargo facility operating at King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. Since March 26 of this year, New Xiang Group's Dammam facility has begun handling all air cargo shipments from Jazeera Airways to Kuwait. These shipments include general cargo as well as perishable goods such as frozen meats and fruits and vegetables, which are transported overland to Kuwait after unloading in Dammam. This corridor complements the base that Jazeera Airways launched at King Khalid International Airport in Saudi Arabia on March 11. SATS also pointed out that the group has facilities in Saudi Arabia and Oman, which can serve as alternative gateways to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, assisting in the flow of goods when airspace is restricted.
