# Securing Major Oracle Deal: 'Meme Stock' Bloom Energy Soars to New High

On Monday, fuel cell company Bloom Energy reached an expanded power supply agreement with tech giant Oracle, becoming the latest beneficiary of the energy arms race for AI data centers.

**Under the agreement, Oracle plans to purchase up to 2.8 gigawatts of Bloom fuel cell systems to support its AI and cloud computing infrastructure construction in the United States.** Bloom stated that the initial 1.2-gigawatt capacity has been contractually secured, deployment is underway, and will continue into next year.

Following the announcement, Bloom Energy shares surged 14% in Monday after-hours trading. Oracle’s stock also performed strongly—closing up 12.7% at $155.62 during regular trading hours, leading the S&P 500’s daily gains, and rising an additional 1.2% in after-hours trading.

## Expanded Agreement: From 1.2 Gigawatts to 2.8 Gigawatts

This agreement represents a substantial upgrade to the partnership between the two companies. Bloom Energy, headquartered in San Jose, California, is a fuel cell company focused on distributed power generation.

**According to the latest agreement, Oracle’s procurement cap reaches 2.8 gigawatts, significantly expanding from the initial 1.2-gigawatt contract already in place. The incremental portion will be gradually implemented as Oracle’s cloud infrastructure projects progress.**

Bloom noted that this expanded cooperation highlights its ability to provide fast and reliable power for AI workloads. AI data centers have vastly different power supply requirements compared to traditional loads, needing power systems capable of rapidly responding to load fluctuations—a challenge that conventional grids struggle to meet.

## Technical Advantages: Aligning with AI High-Density Computing Needs

In its statement, Bloom emphasized the differentiated positioning of its technology platform. The company stated that its fuel cell systems are specifically designed to support higher-density AI workloads, offering superior efficiency and compatibility with emerging industry standards such as 800V DC.

This technical feature gives Bloom’s products unique competitiveness in the AI data center power supply market. **As training and inference demands for large models continue to drive up computing density requirements, data center operators face increasing urgency for stable, efficient, and rapidly scalable power solutions—precisely where Bloom’s fuel cell systems address the pain point.**

The after-hours surge in Bloom Energy’s stock further underscores the market’s high sensitivity to AI infrastructure power concepts. Oracle’s 12.7% gain during regular trading made it the strongest performer in the S&P 500 that day, while Bloom’s 14% after-hours rise amplified the theme’s market momentum even further.

For investors, this cooperative agreement offers clear order visibility—the 2.8-gigawatt procurement cap implies significant potential revenue scale, while the initial 1.2-gigawatt contract is already in execution, providing near-term earnings support. This combination has led the market to reprice Bloom Energy’s strategic position in the AI energy infrastructure sector.
