# AH Stocks Rise Together in Early Trading: ChiNext Up 1%, Storage Chips Surge, Hang Seng Tech Index Rises 1%, Tech and Internet Stocks Rebound, RMB Breaks Above 6.82

On April 14, A-shares opened higher collectively in the early session, with all three major indices rising initially. The ChiNext Index rose by 1%. Concepts related to storage chips, circuit boards, and semiconductor equipment surged, while lithium batteries remained active. Hong Kong stocks also rose, with the Hang Seng Index and Hang Seng Tech Index both gaining 1%, and tech and internet stocks rebounded across the board.

In the bond market, most government bond futures fell. In commodities, domestic goods mostly rose, with polysilicon up over 4% and lithium carbonate up 3%. Core market trends:

> **A-shares**: As of press time, the Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.34%, the Shenzhen Component Index rose 0.66%, and the ChiNext Index rose 0.78%.

As of press time, polysilicon was up over 4%, nickel, tin, and lithium carbonate on the Shanghai exchange rose 2%, copper, palladium, platinum, and silver on the Shanghai exchange rose over 1%, aluminum, rubber, iron ore, coking coal, ferromanganese, gold, hot-rolled coil, eggs, rebar, industrial silicon, and alumina on the Shanghai exchange moved higher. Coke, stainless steel, glass, soybean meal, and crude oil fell. Caustic soda, propylene, fuel oil, and methanol fell over 1%, ethylene glycol, asphalt, and the containerized shipping index fell over 2%, and rapeseed fell over 3%.

Storage chip concepts showed strong activity; DAWEI hit the limit up, Biwin and TWSC continued to set new historical highs, while Shannon Semi, Puya Semiconductor, Longsys, and Beijing Ingenic followed suit.

On the news front, it was reported that SanDisk has begun contacting material, component, and equipment partners to build an ecosystem for HBF prototype production lines. Additionally, storage chip giant SanDisk rose over 11%, continuing to set new historical highs.

The onshore RMB against the US dollar broke above the 6.82 level, reaching a high not seen since March 2023.

Lithium battery concepts remained active; Shida Shenghua achieved two limit-ups in three days, Tengyuan Cobalt approached a 20% limit-up, with Hanrui Cobalt, Chengxin Lithium, Duo Feiduo, and Haikexinyuan also rising.

PCB concepts remained active, with upstream materials such as electronic cloth and electronic resin leading the rise continuously. Hongchang Electronics hit the limit up, and Honghe Technology touched the limit up, both setting new historical highs. Zhongying Technology, WUS Printed Circuit Board, Fangbang Shares, and Wingtech Holdings followed suit.

On the news front, institutions believe that as AI servers continue to upgrade, PCBs are evolving from traditional multi-layer boards to high-layer and advanced HDI boards. In the long term, computing power will accelerate towards ASICization, and the value per unit of PCBs for ASIC server motherboards is significantly higher than that of GPU servers of the same generation.

The onshore RMB against the US dollar rose 138 points in the early session to 6.82 yuan, reaching a high not seen since March 23, 2023.

The Shanghai Composite Index opened higher by 0.46%, and the ChiNext Index rose 0.88%. Gains were led by AI applications, agents, industrial metals, computing power leasing, semiconductors, humanoid robots, and fiberglass concepts. Weakness was seen in oil and gas, coal, and cross-strait integration sectors.

The Hang Seng Index opened higher by 1.05%, and the Hang Seng Tech Index rose 1.37%. Kingsoft Software rose over 7%, Kingdee International rose over 5%, Hua Hong Semiconductor, Bilibili, and SMIC rose over 3%.

The main contract for polysilicon rose over 4% intraday, currently quoting at 35,255 yuan per ton, after previously falling nearly 1%.

Commodity futures opened with the LU fuel oil main contract falling over 5%, asphalt and fuel oil falling over 3%, liquefied petroleum gas, ethylene glycol, and styrene falling over 2%. Nickel on the Shanghai exchange rose over 2%, copper, tin, international copper, aluminum, and xylene on the Shanghai exchange rose over 1%, along with aluminum alloy and No. 20 natural rubber.
