Zenith Energy ( (GB:ZEN) ) just unveiled an update.

Zenith Energy has secured formal recognition from the Republic of Tunisia that its subsidiary Ecumed Petroleum Tunisia owns the Robbana and El Bibane production concessions and approximately 3,987 barrels of crude oil produced there since 2022. Together with a further 8,000 barrels stored at Robbana, the unsold inventory highlights the scale of revenue lost amid past restrictions on sales.

The admission by Tunisian authorities marks a significant step in Zenith’s arbitration case at the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes, where it is seeking compensation for alleged unlawful obstruction and expropriation. However, the company reports that the Robbana field has suffered extensive vandalism and theft, leaving it non-operational and requiring major rehabilitation, a development Zenith says further deepens the damages claimed by its subsidiaries and underscores ongoing operational and legal risks in Tunisia.
