The Nanyang Intermediate People's Court of Henan Province publicly announced the first instance verdict on the bribery case involving Liu Weidong, former member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy General Manager of China South Industries Group. Defendant Liu Weidong was sentenced to 13 years in prison for bribery and fined 4 million RMB. His illicit gains and their proceeds were recovered in accordance with the law and turned over to the state treasury. (CCTV)
