# The Hang Seng Index opened higher on Wednesday, exceeding 5030 points | Lianhe Zaobao

The Singapore Straits Times Index opened on Wednesday (April 15) up 22.70 points or 0.45%, at 5030.27 points.

As of 9:12 AM, the local stock market had a total trading volume of 191.28 million shares, with a trading value of SGD 215.09 million. There were 184 advancing stocks and 54 declining stocks.

Among the constituents of the index, 22 stocks rose, four remained unchanged, and four declined.

The biggest gainer was Mapletree Pan Asia Commercial Trust, which rose 1.46% to SGD 1.39. The largest decline was seen in Thai Beverage, which fell 1.16% to SGD 0.425.
