BYD's new brand Linghui has officially launched its first model, the Linghui e7, targeting the ride-hailing market with high charging efficiency.

The mid-size pure electric sedan is built on BYD's existing Sealion 06 EV platform, priced from 95,800 yuan ($14,050) to 115,800 yuan.

The model is available in five trim levels, offering three driving range versions of 450 km, 520 km, and 550 km.

The Linghui e7 measures 4,780 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, and 1,530 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,820 mm.

The new car is equipped with BYD's latest flash charging technology and second-generation Blade Battery, which is claimed to deliver an ultra-fast charging experience, charging from 10% to 70% in 5 minutes and basically fully charged in 9 minutes.

The Linghui e7 is built according to operational-grade durability standards of 6 years or 600,000 kilometers, having undergone 9,600 laps of intensified rough road testing and double the test mileage verification of a family car, the brand said.

The Linghui e7 is also equipped with a wide-temperature range heat pump air conditioning system to reduce winter energy consumption and improve range performance in cold regions.

To attract buyers, Linghui offers non-commercial owners 12 months of free charging at flash charging stations starting from the delivery date. For commercial vehicle owners, the brand is providing a waiver of charging service fees for the same period.

In addition, Linghui has introduced flexible financial policies, including a zero down payment and an ultra-long loan term of up to five years, to further lower the threshold for purchasing a car.

Commercial owners can enjoy a three-year zero-interest loan of up to 80,000 yuan, aimed at helping business customers alleviate initial financial pressure.

Non-commercial owners can choose between a three-year zero-interest loan of 57,000 yuan or a two-year zero-interest loan of 83,000 yuan.

The Linghui e7 is positioned as a strategic product for the ride-hailing, taxi, and official vehicle markets, aiming to improve the turnover efficiency of commercial vehicles through its ultra-fast charging capability.

By establishing the independent commercial sub-brand Linghui to integrate its corporate business, BYD attempts to address the brand value dilution caused by its mainstream models being used as taxis.

The Linghui brand's product matrix is expanding rapidly, with regulatory filings showing that the brand has already completed filings for several more models, including the Linghui e5, e9, and M9.

These future models are based on the Qin Plus EV, Han sedan, and Xia MPV, respectively. They adopt a new brand logo and feature hardware optimizations tailored for commercial operations.
