# VGT's margin financing temporarily exceeds 31 times, reported to halt institutional investors' subscriptions early

The public offering of new shares for VGT (2476) will close for subscriptions tomorrow (16th). According to broker data, the response to margin subscriptions has been lukewarm, with approximately HKD 56.2 billion in margin amounts recorded, oversubscribed by about 31 times. However, according to Bloomberg, VGT plans to stop accepting subscriptions from institutional investors for the Hong Kong offering one day earlier.

On the other hand, IFR reports that due to strong demand, VGT plans to expand its Hong Kong listing scale to HKD 20.2 billion.
