# COFCO Group collaborates with the National Natural Science Foundation of China to create the first corporate innovation and development joint fund in the agricultural and food sector

On April 15th, COFCO Group signed a cooperation agreement with the National Natural Science Foundation of China in Beijing, becoming the first agricultural and food enterprise to join the National Natural Science Foundation's Joint Fund for Corporate Innovation and Development. This collaboration aims to promote the deep integration of technological innovation and industrial innovation, with a focus on strengthening core technology breakthroughs in the agricultural and food sector, encouraging original innovation, and providing technological support for high-quality development in the industry. According to the agreement, the Joint Fund plans to attract and gather national advantageous scientific research forces around the urgent needs of agricultural and food industry development, conduct forward-looking basic research, and strive to break through a number of underlying technologies and "root technologies," creating a source of original technology for the agricultural and food sector
