# European stocks: The pan-European STOXX 600 index closed lower, luxury goods stocks were heavily impacted after earnings

Kering Group's stock price closed down 9.3% due to sales of its largest brand, Gucci, falling short of expectations. Hermès' sales declined due to exchange rate fluctuations, and its stock price lost 8.2% throughout the day.

The UK FTSE 100 index closed down 49 points or 0.5% at 10,559 points. The German DAX index closed up 22 points or 0.1% at 24,066 points. The French CAC 40 index closed down 53 points or 0.6% at 8,274 points
