The new car is positioned as a "technology luxury flagship SUV." The exterior of the Leapmotor D19 features a "Cosmic Horizon" front design, with the upper skyline integrated with the lower horizon grille, complemented by an AGS active air intake grille, showcasing a grand atmosphere. The digital clock and million-pixel DLP projection headlights integrate functions such as ADB adaptive high beam, light carpet display, and welcome projection. The side of the D19 adopts a pure flat side window design; the silver crown two-tone roof reduces the sense of heaviness, paired with 21-inch aspirational wheels and Michelin tires. The new car is available in five nature-inspired colors: Pine Valley Green, Photonic White, Liquid Silver, Sky Gray, and Metallic Black. The Leapmotor D19 offers both range-extended and pure electric power options. The range-extended version is equipped with an 80.3 kWh dedicated range-extended battery, supported by CATL lithium iron phosphate cells, with a CLTC pure electric range of up to 500 km, covering daily commuting purely on electricity. Additionally, the new car features 800V high-voltage fast charging, requiring only about 15 minutes to charge from 30% to 80%. The integrated drive and generator four-wheel drive range-extended system, developed in collaboration with ZF, allows for intelligent switching between front-wheel drive and generation, reducing system weight by 50% and volume by 30%. Leapmotor claims that the pure electric version is equipped with a 115 kWh CATL super hybrid cell, with a CLTC range exceeding 720 km.
