# Alibaba Launches "Pipi Gu", China Literature Creates "Yuegu Mi" App: Tech Giants Battle for the Billion-Dollar Merchandise Sector

Lingxi Interactive, the gaming division under Alibaba, is building "Pipi Gu," a merchandise business integrating news, community, and gacha features. The "Pipi Gu Gacha Machine" official WeChat account has already been launched. Tianyancha data shows that its operating entity is 100% held by Guangzhou Lingxi Interactive Information Technology Co., Ltd. It is reported that a mini-program with the same name will also go online soon. At the same time, China Literature's "Yuegu Mi" merchandise mini-program, scheduled for launch at the end of 2024, is currently advancing the development of a standalone app version, aiming to build a differentiated barrier in the merchandise economy which is undergoing consolidation.
