# Canada's trade minister, Chinese EV hold discussions on ways to enter Canadian market

OTTAWA, April 16 (Reuters) - Canada’s Trade Minister Maninder Sidhu, during his visit last week to China, discussed ways in which Chinese electric vehicle makers can enter the country using Canada’s import quota, his ministry said in a statement on Thursday.

He met with Chinese EV majors such as BYD, XPeng and Guangzhou Automobile Group, the statement said.
