On Thursday (April 16) in the late New York session, spot gold fell 0.04% to $4,788.96 per ounce. During the early Asian and Pacific session, prices rose significantly, reaching $4,837.68 at 08:40 Beijing time, and remained stable near $4,820 for most of the day.

COMEX gold futures fell 0.26% to $4,810.50 per ounce, with an intraday high of $4,861.30 also reached at 13:06.
