# KHPG's subsidiary KHN921 injection has received approval from the U.S. FDA to conduct clinical trials

According to the Zhitong Finance APP, KHPG (002773.SZ) announced that its subsidiary Chengdu Hongji Biotechnology Co., Ltd. (referred to as "Hongji Biotechnology") recently received an email from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) granting permission for KHN921 injection to conduct clinical trials in the United States.

KHN921 injection is an AAV gene therapy product independently developed by Hongji Biotechnology, used for the treatment of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) associated with MYBPC3 gene mutations. This product utilizes the company's independent intellectual property and is based on a novel adeno-associated virus designed with cell-specific receptors as a delivery vector, employing an innovative administration method to precisely target myocardial tissue for efficient transduction. The product delivers functional target genes to the patient's myocardial cells through the AAV vector, correcting functional defects caused by pathogenic gene mutations at the genetic level, improving myocardial structure and function, delaying or reversing disease progression, and reducing the risk of serious cardiovascular events
