They are ordered to rectify illegal activities, with a suspension of new cake shop openings ranging from three to nine months, and a total fine of 3.597 billion yuan (RMB). Additionally, fines totaling 19.6874 million yuan are imposed on the legal representatives and food safety directors of the seven platform companies. Pinduoduo stated that it sincerely accepts this and will strictly comply with the penalty decision, using it as a lesson to standardize business processes.
