# According to reports, Xiaomi Auto has appointed Hu Zhengnan as CTO and Song Gang as Chief of Staff

According to domestic media reports, Xiaomi Group (01810.HK) announced via internal email that Hu Zhengnan has been appointed as Vice President and CTO of the Automotive Division; Song Gang has been appointed as Vice President and Chief of Staff of the Automotive Division. This is the first time Xiaomi Automotive has established a CTO position since its inception in 2021.

It is reported that Hu Zhengnan has nearly thirty years of experience in the automotive industry and has participated in the development of several best-selling models, including BYD F3, Haval H6, and Geely Boyue. He joined Shunwei Capital in 2021 as an investment partner and participated in the early work of Xiaomi Automotive as a consultant.

According to information, Xiaomi Automotive currently has nearly 10,000 R&D personnel and has built a comprehensive talent system covering R&D, design, manufacturing, and supply chain. It has also established an R&D center in Munich, Germany, attracting several engineering and design experts from BMW, Ferrari F1, and Williams Racing Team
