In terms of news, on April 16, Tencent officially released and open-sourced the HY-World 2.0, a mixed-element 3D world model. HY-World 2.0 is a multimodal world model that can automatically generate, reconstruct, and simulate 3D worlds based on different types of inputs such as text, images, and videos. It also supports the export of various formats of 3D assets (Mesh/3DGS/point clouds, etc.) and seamlessly integrates with existing game workflows for rapid generation of game maps and level prototypes. The mixed-element world model 2.0 allows AI to evolve from "dialogue," "drawing," and "shaping objects" to "creating worlds"—generating a complete "world" that includes people, objects, and scenery. Open-source Securities pointed out that Tencent and Alibaba recently launched multimodal world models HY-World 2.0 and HappyOyster, respectively. The former can automatically generate, reconstruct, and simulate 3D worlds, while the latter allows users to control camera angles, adjust characters, and change plot directions in real-time with text commands at any point in video generation. Additionally, the recently released Claude Opus 4.7 has shown significant improvements in software engineering, visual capabilities, and agent abilities.
