Dongfang Securities pointed out that although the ongoing geopolitical struggles will intensify short-term volatility in non-ferrous metals, signs of overall easing in the situation are gradually emerging. The most severe impacts of geopolitical conflicts on non-ferrous metals have passed, and market pricing for non-ferrous metals will increasingly anchor on the Federal Reserve's policy path and the supply and demand of various commodities. In terms of industrial metals, under the condition that the strait is not fully open, the production and transportation of electrolytic aluminum and copper raw materials such as sulfur continue to be restricted, providing ongoing supply support. In the domestic spot market, against the backdrop of the peak season, downstream companies' willingness to take delivery remains strong, and the operating rates of copper and aluminum processing remain high. Domestic copper and aluminum inventories continue to decrease, indicating that downstream demand is gradually taking delivery due to price adjustments and peak season demand. The supply and demand realities of various commodities may determine the intensity of price fluctuations during this period. From the first quarter performance of listed companies, the high prices have significantly boosted the Q1 performance of related companies, which may support the sector's performance.

The Guotai Mining ETF (561330) tracks the non-ferrous mining index (931892), which focuses on upstream companies with mineral resources, covering four major areas: industrial metals, precious metals, energy metals, and rare metals/rare earths. The index selects companies with real mineral resources as constituent stocks, emphasizing the value representation and profit elasticity at the resource end, to reflect the overall performance of related listed company securities during commodity price increases.
