The Hang Seng Index closed at 26,361 points, up 200 points or 0.8%. The Hang Seng Tech Index reported 5,065 points, up 22 points or 0.5%. The China Enterprises Index rose 54 points or 0.6%, closing at 8,899 points. The total market turnover was HKD 241.463 billion.

Performance of active blue-chip stocks:

Tencent (00700.HK) closed at HKD 522.5, up 2.4%;

China Construction Bank (00939.HK) closed at HKD 8.88, up 2.3%, hitting a new high;

Meituan (03690.HK) closed at HKD 85.15, down 1.6%;

Ping An (02318.HK) closed at HKD 61.5, up 1.5%;

Xiaomi Group (01810.HK) closed at HKD 32.32, up 1%;

Alibaba (09988.HK) closed at HKD 137, up 0.4%;
