# News: CMGE's 6% discount placement nets HKD 29.5 million

Game operator CMGE Technology Group Limited (0302.HK) announced on Tuesday that it has entered into subscription agreements with three investors to issue approximately 123 million new shares at a price of HKD 0.244 per share, representing a discount of about 6.15% to the closing price of the previous day, raising a total net amount of HKD 29.5 million (USD 3.767 million).

The three investors are Secure Precision under YANG Mei, Tanwan (9890.HK), and Shengqu Technology Korean under Century Huatong (002602.SZ), with the subscribed shares accounting for approximately 3.93% of the enlarged share capital.

The company stated that the net proceeds will be used entirely to support the development of its game publishing business, including strengthening IP game operations and promotions, as well as expanding related business scale.

CMGE's revenue last year fell by 28.0% year-on-year to RMB 1.39 billion, with a full-year loss of RMB 1.471 billion, narrowing by 30.1% year-on-year.

The company's stock price opened higher on Tuesday, reporting HKD 0.275 at noon, up 5.8%. The stock has fallen over 29% year-to-date.
