# CATL's Gao Huan: In Discussions with Multiple Premium Brands on Deploying Condensed-State Batteries

On April 22, Gao Huan, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of CATL, revealed that multiple Chinese premium automakers have expressed strong interest in condensed-state batteries, and active discussions on cooperation are underway, with overall progress proceeding very smoothly. On the evening of April 21, CATL launched the Kunlun condensed-state battery, which upgrades liquid electrolytes to a condensed-state electrolyte, achieving an energy density of 350Wh/kg. Under conditions of a 1,500-kilometer driving range, the vehicle weight is reduced by 400 kg compared to lithium iron phosphate solutions.
