# Interactive Brokers Posts Record Revenue but Shares Slip

Interactive Brokers fell 1.21% in premarket trading after reporting first-quarter adjusted EPS of $0.60, up from $0.47 a year ago, on adjusted net revenues of $1.68 billion. Commission revenue surpassed $600 million for the first time, rising 19% year over year, while net interest income grew 17% to $904 million. Pretax profit margin held at 77%, the sixth consecutive quarter above 70%.

Account growth remained the headline story. Total accounts rose 31% to 4.75 million, with customer equity up 38% to $789.4 billion and customer credits hitting a record $168.8 billion, up 35%. DARTs climbed 24% to 4.37 million, with futures contract volumes rising 20% to a quarterly record. Customer margin loans increased 35% to $86 billion, reflecting growing risk appetite from the expanding client base despite the S&P 500 ending the quarter down 5%.

The board raised the quarterly dividend from $0.08 to $0.0875 per share. The company also expanded its crypto offering to European Economic Area clients and launched access to Coinbase Derivatives Exchange perpetual futures, which CEO Milan Galik said are trading in big numbers among early adopters. On prediction markets, Chairman Thomas Peterffy said ForecastEx is drawing growing institutional interest from participants who previously ruled out the product, calling it 'a huge thing' with significant trading potential ahead.
