# News: NEWBORNTOWN's revenue in the first quarter increased by over 30%

Social media platform operator **NEWBORNTOWN** (9911.HK) announced on Wednesday that its revenue grew by over 30% in the first quarter, benefiting from ongoing global expansion and the application of AI technology.

The company expects revenue for the three months ending in March to reach between 2.03 billion yuan (295 million USD) and 2.13 billion yuan, representing a year-on-year growth of 33% to 39.6%. Revenue from its core social networking business is expected to be between 1.79 billion yuan and 1.89 billion yuan, with a year-on-year increase of 31.3% to 37.2%.

As of the end of March, the company's social application has accumulated 1.02 billion downloads, an increase of 5.4% compared to three months ago. The average monthly active users for the social business in the first quarter reached 35.9 million, a quarter-on-quarter growth of 1.7%.
