# Suntec Reit's first-quarter distribution per unit increased by 24% to 1.936 cents | Lianhe Zaobao

Suntec REIT's first-quarter distribution per unit rose 23.9% year-on-year to 1.936 cents, with distributable income increasing 24.8% year-on-year to SGD 57.3 million.

Suntec REIT announced its first-quarter results for the period ending March 31 on Thursday (April 23), stating that the strong performance of distributable income in the first quarter was mainly due to stronger operational performance of its Singapore office and retail property portfolio, lower financing costs, and reduced withholding tax provisions in Australia. The lower withholding tax provisions in Australia were due to the trust retaining its status as a managed investment trust in Australia. This completely offset the performance decline of The Minster Building due to tenant leases expiring in mid-June 2025.

The trust's total revenue in the first quarter increased by 1.9% year-on-year to SGD 115.6 million, while net property income saw a slight increase of 0.3% year-on-year to SGD 77.3 million.
