# Vail Resorts Posts Drop in Early-Season Skier Visits

09:28 AM EDT, 04/23/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Vail Resorts ( MTN ) reported skier visits from the start of the ski season through April 19 were down 14.9% compared with the same period a year earlier, the company said Thursday.

The company said lift revenue, including an allocated portion of season pass revenue, declined 5.6% year over year.

Season-to-date ski school revenue fell 12%, dining revenue declined 11.7%, and retail and rental revenue at North American resort and ski area stores was 6.6% lower over the same period, Vail Resorts ( MTN ) added.
