DC fast charging enables the battery to be replenished from 10 to 80 per cent in 24 minutes. And according to the manufacturer, the chassis and suspension have been specifically calibrated for UK road conditions, supporting driving dynamics tailored to local requirements. Aion plans to establish a UK retail presence with an initial flagship showroom in Slough and a nationwide dealer network. The company also operates a concierge-style customer contact centre to support sales and aftersales services. To support market introduction, the company offers an eight-year care package that includes warranty, servicing, MOT and breakdown cover. The Aion V is equipped as standard with a 14.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a voice assistant with zonal control. Additional features include a panoramic glass roof, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats and multi-zone ambient lighting. A Premium Pack option adds leather upholstery, a cooled and heated storage compartment, massage front seats and a rear seat tray table. Boot capacity is rated at 427 litres, expanding to 1,638 litres with the rear seats folded. The mid-range SUV GAC Aion V is already available in European markets such as Finland, Poland and Portugal. It was initially shipped from China, but has been rolling off Magna’s production line in Austria since the end of last year.
