The department will be led by Ford's Chief Operating Officer, **Kumar Galhotra** and will combine the automaker’s EV, Design and Digital departments with its global Industrial System. The reshuffling of personnel and departments also coincided with Ford’s EV chief **Doug Chief** departing his role after he finishes a transition period within a month. Meanwhile, the company’s recall woes continue into 2026 as Ford recently issued a recall of over 1,392,935 units of its 2015–2017 F-150 trucks due to a transmission fault.
