# NVIDIA expands its presence in India as AI demand continues to rise, driving engineering expansion

NVIDIA is quietly increasing its investment in India. The chip giant has signed a 10-year lease worth $130 million through its subsidiary NVIDIA Graphics, renting 12 floors of office space, approximately 760,000 square feet, in the Memphis South Tower of Bagmane Capital in the Mahadebpura area of Bangalore.

The lease will take effect on April 1, 2026, and includes a deposit of $3.6 million. In terms of area, this is one of the largest office transactions in Bangalore, and it more than doubles NVIDIA's existing office space in India.

This is not just an expansion of office space. India is steadily becoming a key hub for global tech talent, especially in AI, and NVIDIA is clearly aligning with this trend. As the demand for chips, models, and infrastructure continues to rise, having a deeper local talent pool in engineering becomes increasingly important.

NVIDIA's layout in India is part of its global expansion strategy. The company previously established R&D centers in Hyderabad and Pune, and the new space in Bangalore will further enhance its engineering capabilities in AI and software development
