Amazon Web Services (AWS) announced a set of tools for logistics employees and recruiters on Tuesday, named Amazon Connect Decisions and Amazon Connect Talent, respectively. Along with a set of healthcare applications launched last month, these products indicate Amazon's determination to leverage its AI technology to penetrate the business software market. Technology research firm Gartner estimates that by 2025, enterprises will spend approximately $300 billion on Software as a Service (SaaS) products, which include tools that help track and manage sales, human resources, and planning. As the largest seller of network infrastructure, including leasing data storage and processing capabilities, Amazon's share in this market is minimal. However, AWS Chief Marketing Officer Julia White stated that the emergence of AI models has provided the company with an opportunity to offer new products. The products announced this week rely on AI agents, a term used in the industry for tools that can act on behalf of users, whether it’s conducting automated interviews with candidates or creating a spreadsheet that predicts demand for a certain product. Before unveiling the products at an event in San Francisco on Tuesday, White said in an interview, "We don't have a large SaaS business, and to be honest, we don't have any existing territory to protect. This allows us to truly embrace this agent-first approach, which would be harder for others to do." These new products will deepen Amazon's competition with cloud rivals such as Microsoft and Oracle, as well as some of its largest customers, including Salesforce. This is not a new situation for Amazon. For years, Amazon has assured companies like Netflix that it is an ethical competitor. Netflix is built on AWS but is also a fierce competitor of Amazon Prime Video ### Related Stocks - [AMZN.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/AMZN.US.md) - [XSW.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/XSW.US.md) - [AMZU.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/AMZU.US.md) - [AMZZ.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/AMZZ.US.md) - [CLOU.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/CLOU.US.md) - [IGV.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/IGV.US.md) - [IT.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/IT.US.md) - [MSFT.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/MSFT.US.md) - [ORCL.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/ORCL.US.md) - [CRM.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/CRM.US.md) - [NFLX.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/NFLX.US.md) - [ORCL-D.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/ORCL-D.US.md) ## Related News & Research - [Anthropic Commits $100B to AWS as Amazon Bets Up to $25B on AI Partner.
