Despite lower unit sales and negative currency effect, Scania kept the level of profitability supported by cost efficiency and the resilience from the service business.** Scania's sales revenue declined in the first quarter, reflecting lower volumes mainly due to constraints in our delivery flows. Profitability remained in line with the corresponding period last year, despite negative currency effects, as a result of increased cost efficiency and continued strong momentum in the service business. Total order intake increased considerably in the first quarter. In Europe, demand started strongly but softened towards the end of the quarter amid rising economic volatility as an effect of the war in Iran, adding further complexity to an already uncertain business landscape. Growth in order intake in Latin America was driven by Brazil where a subsidised loan programme for fleet renewal supported demand. "Scania performed well, with strong service momentum and solid truck orders, despite lower delivery volumes in the first quarter. Our focus on building resilience, including accelerating our presence in China and improving speed, efficiency and cost-competitiveness, is beginning to pay off, helping us navigate a volatile environment," says Christian Levin, President and CEO of Scania and TRATON Group. **Further reading** Read Scania's Q1 2026 Performance Summary and the full CEO comment at **https://www.scania.com/performance-summary** Scania's full financial performance can be found in the segment reporting of TRATON Group's interim statement. **For further information, please contact:** Erik Bratthall Corporate Public and Media Relations Manager, Scania Phone: +46 76 724 45 27 E-mail: \[email protected\] This information was brought to you by Cision http://news.cision.com https://news.cision.com/scania/r/scania-performance-summary-january---march-2026,c4341673 The following files are available for download: https://news.cision.com/scania/i/scania-battery-electric-truck,c3532913 Scania battery-electric truck https://news.cision.com/scania/i/scania-battery-electric-truck--full-size-image-,c3532914 Scania battery-electric truck (full size image) SOURCE Scania ### Related Stocks - [562700.CN](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/562700.CN.md) - [562260.CN](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/562260.CN.md) - [MOTO.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/MOTO.US.md) - [CARU.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/CARU.US.md) - [159565.CN](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/159565.CN.md) - [516110.CN](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/516110.CN.md) - [159323.CN](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/159323.CN.md) - [CARZ.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/CARZ.US.md) - [520720.CN](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/520720.CN.md) ## Related News & Research - [BYD sees monthly sales climbing on battery capacity ramp-up](https://longbridge.com/en/news/286554635.md) - [Audi says this affordable luxury EV will ‘rejuvenate’ the brand [Video]](https://longbridge.com/en/news/287101335.md) - [Xiaomi EV reportedly taps new battery suppliers for second brand to target EREV market](https://longbridge.com/en/news/286843996.md) - [Honda and LG team up to accelerate battery-swapping electric motorcycles](https://longbridge.com/en/news/286858619.md) - [Xiaomi reportedly plans ‘Sky Nomad’ sub-brand with range extender models](https://longbridge.com/en/news/287029031.md)
