As of the time of writing, Longpan Technology (02465.HK) rose by 19.26%, trading at HKD 21.86; Tianqi Lithium (09696.HK) rose nearly 8%, trading at HKD 62.85; Ganfeng Lithium (01772.HK) rose by 7.2%, trading at HKD 84.15. Longpan Technology's half-day trading volume exceeded HKD 800 million, with both volume and price rising, driving the entire lithium battery supply chain stronger.
Insurance stocks rise across the board, Ping An of China rises nearly 6%
As of the time of writing, Ping An of China (02318.HK) rose by 5.91%, trading at HKD 63.6, with a trading volume exceeding HKD 3.3 billion; China Life (02628.HK) rose by 4.91%, trading at HKD 27.34; AIA Group (01299.HK) rose by 2.35%, trading at HKD 85.1. The Hong Kong Legislative Council today passed the &#34;2026 Appropriation Bill&#34; in the third reading. Financial Secretary Paul Chan stated that the comprehensive surplus for the 2025/26 fiscal year will increase from HKD 2.9 billion to HKD 11 billion, and the stable policy expectations are favorable for the financial sector.
Significant divergence in technology stocks, Meituan rises nearly 4%, Baidu falls over 4%
As of the time of writing, Meituan-W (03690.HK) rose by 3.8%, trading at HKD 83.35, with a trading volume exceeding HKD 2.3 billion; BYD Company (01211.HK) rose by 3.86%, trading at HKD 107.7. In terms of news, Meituan's new generation foundational model LongCat-2.0-Preview has opened for testing, with parameter scale exceeding one trillion, supporting complex tasks and enterprise automation scenarios. Regarding BYD, a JP Morgan research report pointed out that the net profit per vehicle overseas is three times that of the domestic market, and overseas revenue accounted for about 70% of total vehicle revenue in the first quarter, with a projected 60% quarter-on-quarter increase in sales for the second quarter.
On the other hand, Baidu Group-SW (09888.HK) fell by 4.3%, trading at HKD 118. According to Bloomberg, after a service interruption, China has suspended the issuance of new autonomous vehicle licenses, which has dragged down Baidu's stock price throughout the afternoon. Hua Hong Semiconductor (01347.HK) fell by 4.59%, trading at HKD 108.1; WuXi AppTec (02359.HK) fell by 3.56%, trading at HKD 138.
Shangmi Technology surges over 250% on its first day of listing
As of the time of writing, Shangmi Technology-W (06810.HK) was trading at HKD 88.75, up over 250% from its issue price of HKD 24.86, with a trading volume exceeding HKD 1 billion. The company is a provider of smart commercial hardware services and received a warm market reception on its first day of listing, reaching a peak of HKD 99.8 during the session
In addition, the PCB sector performed well, with Shenghong Technology (02476.HK) rising 7.53% to HKD 322.6; Jiantao Laminates (01888.HK) increasing 6.18% to HKD 37.82.
