# Zurich Confirms High SST Ratio

As of 31 December 2025, Zurich Insurance Group reported a solvency ratio of 259 percent under the Swiss Solvency Test (SST), according to the report released on Wednesday. In the previous year, the ratio stood at 253 percent.

The figures once again underscore the group’s strong financial position and solid balance sheet, the company said. The improvement is primarily attributable to strong operating earnings and favourable market developments.

«Zurich’s financial flexibility is supported by strong solvency and the generation of cash flows from our business,» the statement added.

The financial strength of Zurich Insurance Company Ltd was rated AA/stable by S&P, Aa2/stable by Moody’s, and A+ (superior)/stable by AM Best as of 31 December 2025. AM Best’s issuer credit rating stands at aa/stable.

The Financial Condition Report is a regulatory disclosure required by law and specified by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (Finma). It is intended to inform the public about a company’s solvency and financial strength.
