Ryan Koontz has given his Buy rating due to a combination of factors, including Extreme Networks’ stronger‑than‑expected quarterly performance and upwardly revised revenue outlook. The company outperformed consensus on both revenue and EPS, driven in part by robust software subscription growth and exceptional expansion in the EMEA region, which supports a more positive earnings trajectory.

He also highlights stable gross margins despite cost pressures, supported by successful price increases and secure access to key memory components through fiscal 2028. In addition, Koontz points to solid momentum in recurring software revenue from Platform One and continued market share gains versus major competitors such as HPE and Cisco, which underpin his higher estimates and a raised price target of $26.

Koontz covers the Technology sector, focusing on stocks such as Adtran, Calix, and Lantronix. According to TipRanks, Koontz has an average return of 34.2% and a 51.81% success rate on recommended stocks.

In another report released today, Rosenblatt Securities also reiterated a Buy rating on the stock with a $29.00 price target.
