# Brief News: Sany's first-quarter revenue increased by 14.2% year-on-year

The construction machinery manufacturer **SANY HEAVY IND. Co., Ltd.** (600031.SH; 6031.HK) announced on Wednesday that it recorded revenue of 24.04 billion yuan (3.52 billion USD) in the first quarter of 2026, a year-on-year increase of 14.2%; net profit was 2.48 billion yuan, a slight increase of 0.5%.

After deducting non-recurring gains and losses, the net profit was 2.01 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 16.2%; the net cash flow from operating activities was 3.54 billion yuan, a year-on-year decline of 19.8%.

The company stated that the revenue growth was mainly driven by year-on-year increases in both domestic and international sales; at the same time, financial expenses shifted from income in the same period last year to expenses, which also impacted profitability.

SANY HEAVY IND. shares opened lower on the Hong Kong stock market on Thursday, reporting HKD 21.94 at noon, down 1.7%.
